Hey Everyone,
I know I’ve uploaded this video before but I’ve had some requests to upload a version without me playing the vocal parts on lead-guitar.
Welcome to this backing track for the song I don’t need no doctor played by John Mayer. I used a live video on youtube as a reference for this track and stayed pretty close to that recording but I shortened the solo part for the guitar a bit. This because there was originally a trumpet and saxophone solo but i left room there for you to fill in those spots as well. After those two solo’s it goes back to the theme after which you get John Mayers solo.
Well… Here it is! Enjoy playing and singing to this classic John Mayer Song!

Hi Andre,
Just wanted to tell that I’m very happy with your backing track, as it’s served as a terrific practice tool for my upcoming Berklee audition. Being such a great track, I was wondering if you could email me an mp3 or flac version of the track to use in my audition. It would be much appreciated, let me know as soon as you can!
Thanks,
Sam
when is your audition? can I use the email address in your comment?
andre
PS you couldn’t give me a nicer compliment than using the track for the audition. Funny to see that my hours of work actually are of use to some people!
My audition is August 16th, so it’s really coming up. And yes, the email I left in the comments is fine. Thanks again!
Sam
Andre … this is awesome! I tried this once but never could get the drums right.
Thanks
Thanks! Making a drumtrack can be challenging. Usually when I do this I have the midi and the original audio track aligned and I make sure it’s in about the same tempo. It makes for easy switching between the track you’re building and the audio track…
